Music lover, composer, educator, traveller. My life has revolved around music since I was 3 or 4 years old. I have two bands: Echo Helstrom (www.echohelstrom.net) which is a symphonic rock band, and the Echo Jazz Trio (www.echotrio.com) which is a guitar jazz trio. I am a guitarist and songwriter and, besides composing for those two groups, have written music for commercials. I was recently featured on the new album and single by Gino Vanelli "These Are The Days" on Columbia Records. I also play in theater productions including Bat Boy, The Fantasticks and West Side Story with Portland Center Stage, Portland OR. I also teach guitar at Apple Music Row in downtown Portland.
